Drawing inspiration from the Pre-Raphaelite Movement, the artist meticulously and poetically completes a section of a painting each day. An atmospheric backdrop and romantic or seductive subject is brought to life with the artist’s brushstrokes – harmonising colour, light and texture.
Rob Hefferan’s defined and recognisable style has put him at the forefront of the contemporary art scene. Hefferan was invited to conceive and lay down the final design for famed chocolatier, Quality Street’s 75th anniversary limited edition tin, which sold out in record time. Since then, both corporate suitors and private collectors have invested in paintings by Rob Hefferan. Having completed both private and public commissions, one of his most accredited works was the ‘Take That Greatest Hits’ CD cover. This was replicated to multiple, related advert campaigns around the time of release.
Rob says:
“I wanted to be an artist for as long as I could remember. I remember copying dinosaurs and spaceships from picture books and feeling frustrated at the fact that I could not draw as well as the illustrators from the books.”
“For me to just paint what I see is dull; the real skill is to paint what exists only in your imagination and add these elements to the final paintings.”
