Weathergirl by Lhouette Original Artwork
Weather Girl Patchwork by Lhouette is a framed original artwork using mixed media tiles.
The Patchwork piece features one of Lhouette’s trademark silhouette motifs – ‘Weather Girl’ – and Lhouette explained: “I love revisiting and reworking (the signature silhouettes), but with the Patchwork pieces I really wanted to showcase the variety of different mediums and materials I’ve used in the studio over the years (perspex reliefs, diamond dust, gold guild, resins, fabrics, wax, aerosols, acrylics, enamel, woods and varnishes to name a few) – I wanted to mass these differing mediums together in sections and amplify them by doing so (contrast plays a big part in the work with mediums as well as imagery).”
Lhouette’s artistic career has so far has taken him to The Houses of Parliament and 45 Park Lane, one of London’s foremost Hotel Art venues; Lhouette was selected by the Dorchester’s art comity in 2017 – which includes artists Sir Peter Blake and Damien Hirst.
In 2017, Lhouette was hand-picked by the Dorchester’s art comity, which include the likes of Sir Peter Blake and Damien Hirst, to exhibit his Post Urban Glamour collection at one of London’s foremost Hotel art venues, 45 Park Lane – part of The Dorcester Collection.
Intricately intertwining Lowbrow pop culture iconography and mixed mediums into a body of work Lhouette coined as “Post Urban Glamour.” The work has gained significant interest from the media, celebrities and international collectors such as Hollywood star Antonio Banderas, the Khayami Family, The Dorcester Collection, Ronan and Storm Keating and Formula One engineering genius Adrian Newey OBE.
