Landscape Artist Mariusz Kaldowski presented his new National Trust Series of Paintings. ‘Light the Way’ exhibition in 2019 here at CLK Art. Over 25 original works were displayed in the artist’s impressionist style with a focus on light in these ‘Landscapes of the Soul,’ as they have been recognised.
Kaldowski has been Artist in Residence in Regent’s Park since 2002 and since 2009 he has been working with the National Trust as their Resident Artist for the South East region. Commenting on these residencies:
“Both appointments have been a joy to me, and both have broadened my horizons and my outlook beyond measure.”
Born in 1962 in Poland, in 1987 Mariusz graduated with an MA from the Academy of Fine Arts, Kraków. Since then the artist’s skill for capturing the natural world has been recognised by numerous awards including: The Award for ‘Expressing the Essential Spirit of Holland Park’, the editor’s choice of ‘The Artist Magazine’ and First Prize of the Free Painters and Sculptors Society ‘Nina Hosalii’.
With over 200 shows and over 100 solo exhibitions to date – at venues such as the Barbican Centre, London and St David’s Hall, Cardiff – it is a delight that Mariusz Kaldowski’s ‘Light The Way’ Exhibition was held here at CLK Art! The artist also performed a live painting demonstration on the day.
